Two Deadly blows: 12-year-old boys inflict fatal machete wounds.

Shawn Seesahai

Two 12-year-old boys are on trial for the murder of Shawn Seesahai, an unarmed and defenseless man who was attacked and killed on a playing field in Wolverhampton, England. The prosecution claims that the boys, who cannot be named due to their age, struck Seesahai with a machete multiple times, inflicting severe injuries that ultimately proved fatal.

The court heard that Seesahai, who was 19 years old, had offered no violence and had done nothing to provoke the attack. He was with his friends when they were approached by the two boys, who were armed with a machete. The boys allegedly passed the weapon between themselves, with one commenting “Keep stepping” as they prepared to attack. Seesahai’s friend described the scene, saying that one of the boys deliberately shoulder-brushed Seesahai, who responded with “What the f***”. At this point, the boy pulled out the machete and the attack began.

The prosecution claims that the boys engaged in a joint attack on an unarmed and defenseless man, inflicting severe injuries that ultimately proved fatal. The court heard that Seesahai suffered slash wounds on his leg and a severe injury to his back and ribs that penetrated his heart. The prosecution asserts that the boys meant to kill Seesahai, at the very least intending to cause really serious harm.

The prosecution presented evidence from a witness who described seeing one of the boys pick up the machete and hold it in the air, with Seesahai falling to the ground after being punched and kicked. Another witness told police that both boys had been in possession of the machete, with one often carrying it.

The police were called after Seesahai’s friend reported the incident, and they attended the scene, but Seesahai was already dead. The prosecution is seeking to prove that the boys were acting together and meant to kill Seesahai, or at the very least cause really serious harm. The trial continues as the court weighs the evidence and decides the fate of the two 12-year-old boys.
