Ikram Aliskerov needs a new fighter to face in UFC Vegas 93 because Andre Muniz broke his foot during training. Muniz will have surgery for it. The event is on June 15 at UFC APEX, with Alex Perez and Tatsuro Taira as the main fighters. Muniz was supposed to fight Aliskerov, but now that’s up in the air.

With Muniz out, it remains uncertain if the UFC will secure a replacement opponent for Aliskerov. The Russian fighter has showcased impressive performances in his UFC career thus far, securing first-round knockouts against TUF Brazil winner Warlley Alves and Phil Hawes in his previous fights.

This unfortunate news marks the fourth time that Aliskerov has had a fight cancelled within the promotion. Previous matchups against Paulo Costa, Nassourdine Imavov, Anthony Hernandez, and now Muniz have all fallen through due to various reasons, adding frustration to the fighter’s career.

On the other hand, Muniz’s recent victory was a split decision over Jun Yong Park, which ended a streak of consecutive stoppage losses to Brendan Allen and Paul Craig. Prior to these setbacks, Muniz had amassed an impressive five-fight win streak, defeating notable opponents such as Uriah Hall, Eryk Anders, and Ronaldo Souza.
