Sean O’Malley Caught in Unexpected Feud with Conor McGregor Over Doping Comments

Sean O’Malley found himself unintentionally entangled in a social media feud with Conor McGregor after McGregor’s remarks about boxer Ryan Garcia’s doping scandal spilled over to O’Malley, who had a similar past incident.

Despite McGregor’s later clarification and assertion of liking O’Malley, the two haven’t spoken since, although O’Malley maintains his admiration for McGregor, even amidst their current discord.

O’Malley, despite initially feeling slighted by McGregor’s comments, acknowledges McGregor’s legendary status and suggests McGregor may have regretted his impulsive remarks, evidenced by their eventual deletion. O’Malley dismisses any lasting animosity towards McGregor, recognizing the senselessness of McGregor’s targeting him alongside Garcia.

Although O’Malley briefly switched allegiance to Michael Chandler during McGregor’s spat, he admits it would be difficult not to root for McGregor upon his return to the octagon, acknowledging the potential spectacle and excitement a McGregor victory would bring.

Regarding a potential showdown in the UFC, McGregor scoffed at O’Malley’s suggestion of a fight between them, asserting it as implausible. However, O’Malley remains open to the possibility, expressing a willingness to face McGregor in the future, contingent upon both fighters handling their immediate career obligations.
