Elon Musk expressed his full endorsement of Donald Trump shortly after the former president was hurried off stage during a rally in Pennsylvania due to gunshots. Musk, who owns X (likely referring to a social media platform), posted his endorsement, wishing Trump a speedy recovery.
Trump, visibly injured with blood on his head and ear, was taken to receive medical care and confirmed to be in stable condition.
In addition to his endorsement, Musk shared a photo on X showing Trump defiantly pumping his fist amidst the chaos, likening him to Theodore Roosevelt, who survived an assassination attempt in 1912. The rally incident resulted in one spectator dead, another seriously injured, and the shooter deceased.
Prior to this event, Musk had not publicly endorsed Trump but had voiced opposition to President Joe Biden’s administration. Earlier in the year, Musk had met with Trump and mentioned receiving unexpected calls from him. Reports indicated that Musk had donated to a pro-Trump super PAC, further aligning himself politically.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is recognized as the world’s wealthiest individual with an estimated net worth of approximately $250 billion, underscoring his influential stance in both technology and political spheres. His endorsement of Trump following the rally incident highlighted his engagement with U.S. politics and his evolving public stance.
