GUNTHER’s path to the King of the Ring final has been marked by triumph, culminating in his recent victory over “Main Event” Jey Uso on the May 20 edition of “WWE Raw.”
Now poised on the brink of potential glory, he awaits the outcome of the clash between Tama Tonga and Randy Orton, with the coveted crown at stake in Saudi Arabia’s King & Queen of the Ring event.
Bully Ray, weighing in on GUNTHER’s prospects, anticipates a showdown against “The Viper” in the final, expressing confidence in GUNTHER’s ability to emerge triumphant.
Ray, speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” offered his insights, predicting a close contest but ultimately siding with GUNTHER.
“This one is not easy to call. I’m going to side with GUNTHER. I’m going 51-49 GUNTHER goes over because Randy can eat a loss.
Randy can eat a Stone-Cold-Steve-Austin-not-tapping-out-with-the-crimson-mask type of loss. GUNTHER’s trajectory needs to continue in that upward [direction],” Ray remarked.
Despite Tama Tonga’s recent entry into WWE and alignment with The Bloodline, which has ignited a formidable winning streak, Ray believes that GUNTHER should assert dominance if Tonga were to advance to the final round after facing Orton.
Ray’s sentiments are echoed by other WWE veterans, including former writer Freddie Prinze Jr., who shares the expectation of GUNTHER clinching this year’s King of the Ring title.
Prinze Jr. envisions a bright future for the Austrian powerhouse, foreseeing a pathway leading to a World Championship opportunity in the near horizon.
